....But when she brought out rock icon Eric Clapton — "a longtime friend of mine who I admire so deeply," she said — she gave SunFest's opening night audience a moment it won't soon forget.

The annotated band played a lively cover of Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground, with Crow singing lead vocals and Clapton peeling off his trademark bluesy guitar licks. It might not go down as the best version of Higher Ground ever played, but it was a genuine surprise, and a welcome pairing of talents who used to be sweethearts....
This was also Clapton's first SunFest appearance.

With Eric Clapton's up coming concerts at Hard Rock Calling and Harewood House, Planet Rock - the UK's classic rock station is featuring a number of on-air and online specials on this legendary guitarist.

As part of Eric Clapton month, Planet Rock presents an exclusive interview with Eric Clapton. Presented in two parts, the guitar legend will be talking about his life's work as a solo artist and collaborator.

Blues guitarist, Gary Moore will take a look at Eric Clapton's work (TBC). Plus there will be a 'Set List Special' with some greatest live performance captured in one hour special.

To compliment the on-air specials, Planet Rock's website will feature an article by rock journalist Hugh Fielder on the musical life of Eric Clapton. There will also be a buyer's guide to Eric's back catalogue and a collector's guide to his memorabilia. Plus there will be a chance to win tickets to his upcoming performances this summer.
