The rumors about a memorial concert for Ahmet Ertegun at the O2 arena are also in the english newspapers. In all probability EC will be part of the charity concert, but not with Cream. An official announcement will be expected for the next weeks. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main. ... 07/08/31/nzeppelin131.xmlGreetings Sally

Quote: A DVD of Eric Clapton's second Crossroads Guitar Festival, which took place Saturday in suburban Chicago, will be released Nov. 6. The chronicle of the 11-hour event was directed by Martyn Atkins, who's worked on concert films for Tom Petty and Faith Hill. Atkins used 12 cameras and shot in HighDefinition and 5.1 SurroundSound. lienGreetings Sally

Cream members considering new project As Cream singer-bassist Jack Bruce celebrated his 64th birthday on Monday, May 14th, he decided to give his fans a present -- it looks like the band will reunite again this year. Bruce, singer-guitarist Eric Clapton, and drummer Ginger Baker reconvened in 2005 for shows in London and New York City, but the old issues -- especially between Bruce and Baker -- flared up, and there was serious doubt they would ever work together again. But during an interview yesterday with morning hosts JJ & Lynne at WCSX-FM in Detroit, Bruce said the trio is looking at a different kind of collaboration: "There is some talk about us getting together again later this year, which I can't really say too much about. It's not a commercial thing, but we may get together for something." Whatever the project is, it might have come together in the last few days. In an interview published in the Scotland On Sunday newspaper this weekend, Bruce said, "I don't think we'll do another reunion because none of us want to do it. It doesn't mean it won't happen, but at the moment, none of us are in love with the idea." lien...and EC said in an interview: "Clapton said his desire to play with Winwood began during the Cream days: "If I'd had more power of personality and more authority, I would have insisted that we had a keyboard player, and I would've chosen Steve. I mean, it kept being a fantasy of mine that Steve would join Cream, but I just didn't feel confident enough to broach the subject. Maybe I did a couple of times, but I think I, maybe I was, it was discounted." lien 2So if it isn´t Cream it could be a new formation of Blind Faith.....so we have to wait what british autumn will bring us Greetings from Germany Sally

Led Zeppelin didn't reunite, but plenty of Ahmet Ertegun's other disciples were more than happy to take the stage together. Rock icons such as Mick Jagger, Eric Clapton, Stevie Nicks, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young gathered at New York's Lincoln Center Tuesday to pay tribute to the Atlantic Records chairman, who died Dec. 14 at 83. As one would expect, "Ahmet Ertegun: A Celebration" was largely a musical affair. Performers included Clapton, who led a band featuring New Orleans pianist Dr. John through Percy Mayfield's "Please Send Me Someone to Love" and Stick McGhee's "Drinkin' Wine Spo-dee-o-dee"; Phil Collins, who sang "In the Air Tonight" and then, joined by the rest of Genesis, "Follow You, Follow Me"; Ben E. King, who crooned "Don't Play That Song," which Ertegun helped write; Crosby, Stills & Nash, who took on the Beatles' "In My Life" before Neil Young joined them for "Helplessly Hoping"; Young, who coupled with Stephen Stills on "Mr. Soul"; Stevie Nicks, who sang a double feature of "Stand Back" and Led Zeppelin's "Rock and Roll"; Solomon Burke; and, adding a contemporary vibe, Kid Rock. Rock, who also attended Ertegun's funeral in his native Istanbul, took on the Wilson Pickett classic "In the Midnight Hour" and Sam and Dave's "I Thank You," with the help of Sam Moore. "I hope that today's musicians have someone like Ahmet," Young said. lienGreetings Sally

JJ Cale joined EC on stage in San Diego!!! Quote: Gate Crasher' is what Eric said when JJ came on stage for the sit down set. Sit down with JJ and electric, no acoustic set tonight. Together they played Anyway the Wind Blows, Don't Cry Sister Cry, It's Easy, Who Am I telling You, Cocaine, After Midnight, . And of course all the regulars of late.
JJ Cale probably going to be along for the ride for the rest of the California, maybe even for the duration of the tour, but again JJ Cale does not like to tour, so we will see.
They were filming this show!!!!!!!!!
