A member of ECA heard that EC completed a studio version of 'Here But I'm Gone' in London just before Christmas.
It looks like the a new album of covers is in work. Hope also for "Not dark yet" on the album
Perhaps the new cd will release to his birthday.

Oulalalalalala un album de covers ça ça serait très très bon !!

Eric n'est jamais aussi bon que quand il interprète les morceaux des autres... hope Sally's right (she often is :))

Un projet à la Me and Mr Johnson peut-être, où la bande à EC aurait enregistré les covers live actuels (Here but I'm gone, Not dark yet...) entre deux prises sur des inédits ?

J'attends plus d'infos si ça se précise !!

In the new issue of "Rolling Stone" US EC spoke about his new album.

ah non pas un album de cover putain pas ça de lui - qu'il ne se sacrifie pas à cette mode à la con ! putain ok une ou deux dans un disque ( et encore faut voir le disque parce que back home merci !!! ) une ou deux dans un putain de disque avec des putains de bonnes chansons qui déchirent leurs mères ( au moins 12 inédites et pas moins !) !

je pense que dans le prochain projet de Mr Clapton, nous verrons; si album de reprise il y a; un titre de Johnny Watson (cf l'article sur Blackie et l'envie dans Rolling stones de faire des reprises de musicien qu'il adore)

Unfortunately, one of Eric's favorite blues guitarists and one of his biggest inspirations won't be able to join the lineup. Johnny Guitar Watson, the Texas blues/funk guitarist who also was a big influence on Jimi Hendrix and who inspired Eric to play a Strat, passed away in 1996.

"Johnny had a song called ‘Gangster of Love' that was on an album of the same name," says Eric."
